Another year has gone past.

Another time has come fast.

Time to think, how has this year treated us all?

Was the world around us sensible, or was it insanity on the verge of fall?

Have our lives progressed and our careers advanced?

Does the future still hold mystery, or is our path clear and enhanced?

Who can say? Except for ourselves alone.

But as that thought subsides, let us forget all that and find our way home.

The year’s end is a time to celebrate and thrive.

Live it up now, enjoy the moment, and come next year, it’ll be time again to strive.

Few feelings are greater than seeing the clear path before you.

Finally knowing where you’re going and how you’ll be moving through.

Take those first steps into the next year with pride.

This year may be at its end, but the next has come and is ready for your first stride.

For some the year just seems to fly by, if not then be wary, don't let time make a fool of you too.

Eclectic Narratives - Warm Winter Days [#239]

Warm Winter days, what odd times to be.

When the cold passes by when the sun rises as high as you can see.

It was cold the previous day; it will be colder the next.

Yet, today the warmth spreads, cars and rooms heat up like a hex.

Is it only a flash in the pan or a sign the frigid days are coming to an end?

Must we settle down for many more long winter days, or is the next season around the bend?

Enjoy these brief moments that remind you of warmth’s wonders.

Before the pollen is released, the heat grows unbearable and other summer blunders.

Warm Winter days, what strange times they are.

When the ice retreats and light stretches so very far.

Eclectic Narratives - Take a Moment [#230]

Wrap the blanket and bundle up tight. A chill is in the air, but no need for fright.

Work is done, and school is in the past. Now there is only time for yourself, enough to last.

Turn up the heater and find your favorite robe. Grab a book and let your mind travel the globe.

No more concerns, no more anxiety or worries. Everything is good now, that truth carries.

Every once in a while, this is okay. Just turn down the light and lose yourself in play.

It doesn’t last forever, but it doesn’t need to. Enjoy this time, have some of your preferred brew.

When work returns over the horizon, you’ll be ready. With renewed strength, take it steady.

Just remember, don’t stay in this place. To remain shut-in, time would lose all sense in this case.

It’s but a break on the long road ahead. Enjoy the moment and go back to winning bread.

But do come back once in a while. We all need this time, or else we may lose our smile.
