The Three Princesses’ Daily Schedule*

*The following schedule is subject to frequent changes and revisions due to the chaotic nature of the palace, Aphros’s whims, and Irene breaking things. Rather than being their ironclad day-to-day itinerary, this is more of an outline of what a typical day might look like, barring any unusual events, official functions, or crises (so basically never).

4:00 am-??:?? pm: If Lady Ze is in one of her “inspired” moods, she’ll drag Serena and Orion to an all-day training session, which can last anywhere from up to a few hours to a week.

5:45 am: Serena, Caenia and Orion wake up

6:00-6:45 am: Serena, Caenia, and Orion perform their morning rituals and eat breakfast as they mentally prepare to attend the Princesses.

7:00 am: The three Princesses are awakened by their attendants (except Irene, who either awakens an hour earlier or up to 7 hours later, depending on arbitrary factors).

7:15-7:45 am: The three Princesses are prepared for their day. Atlanta refuses to let anyone but Orion do her hair and makeup (she’d make him dress her too, but Aphros vetoed that). Serena is the only one who will put up with Irene long enough to get her dressed. Nobody knows the Second Princess’s preferences, and Caenia isn’t telling.

7:45 am: Atlanta goes out for her morning stroll.

8:00 am: Irene goes out for her “morning stroll.[1]

8:15 am: On Marsdays and Jupitdays[2], Atlanta attends her morning math lesson, usually taught by Lady Herme and a revolving door of math tutors (who are usually comically and not-so-comically injured by Irene’s shenanigans and quit within in a week). Meanwhile, Irene attends her poetry lessons (when she can be wrangled), usually taught by Lady Aphros (who treats most of them as free time for herself).

9:00 am: On Celedays and Vensdays[3], the Princesses attend their etiquette lessons (except Irene, who is probably running full stop across the palace gardens).

9:00 am: On Mercidays[4], the Princesses attend their magic lessons. Irene is taught by Aphros, Atlanta is taught by Aré, and the Second Princess is taught by Herme (supposedly).

10:30 am: The Princesses’ morning lessons usually wrap up around this time, sometimes running longer or shorter depending on the subject. Atlanta uses this brief window of time to return to her room and straighten up. Irene uses this time to light things on fire.

11:00 am-1:00pm: The Princesses’ allotted leisure time on days without official functions. Atlanta usually strolls the garden, reads in the library, sits at one of the balconies, or takes out her frustrations at the shooting range. Irene is likely exploring some dangerously high location in the palace, with Serena hot on her tail.

11:30 am: Irene’s preferred lunchtime…but it’s Irene, so it’s really a matter of when Serena can catch her.

12:45 pm: Atlanta’s preferred lunchtime.

1:30 pm: On Marsdays and Jupitdays, Atlanta attends her afternoon history lesson, usually taught by Lady Herme or Lady Aré. On the other three weekdays, she attends either a logistics class (that covers everything from large-scale military management to trade routes) taught by Lady Aré or a self-defense and physical education class taught by Lady Ze (Irene also has similar lessons, but rarely attends for reasons that have been repeated ad nauseam. Honestly, at this point, Irene is probably parachuting off the tallest spires of the palace or something equally insane).

3:00 pm: On Celedays and Vensdays, Atlanta is taught by a revolving door of music tutors. She does not specialize in a single instrument but is (according to Lady Aphros) “developing a deeper appreciation for the finer points of the music arts.” As a result of these lessons, Atlanta has grown fond of the piano. At the same time, Irene is occasionally taught poetry by Lady Aphros, which has led to the young princess having a firm grasp on some very “colorful” language.

On other days of the week, Atlanta goes through a variety of lessons, which change with the years and seasons, including horseback (and Pegasus) riding, marksmanship, dancing, literature, painting, etc. Irene would also have these lessons, but she rarely attends them unless they can capture her fleeting interest.

4:30-5:45 pm: Atlanta’s evening leisure time, which she usually uses to bathe after a long day (especially on days with physical activity involved lessons) and get some light reading done before preparing to attend dinner. Irene is also bathing at this time, although usually because Serena has finally captured her and is trying to get her presentable in time for dinner.

6:00 pm: The allotted time for the royal dinner, the Queen and Princesses are all expected to attend. Lady Aphros, Aré, Herme, and Ze are also invited to participate unless they are busy. However, most often it’s just Aphros and Aré.

7:00 pm: The Princesses’ curfew begins. They’re handed off to the guards who stand at their bedroom door. At this point, the girls are expected to wind down for the night. The three attendants are given the chance to eat dinner and attend to other housekeeping matters for the next two hours and if nothing is left to do, they have some leisure time. Serena uses this time to eat, read old pulp novels or hair magazines, and watch Diamond Arena when no one else is around. Orion polishes his sword, reads textbooks or adventure novels, and plays darts. Caenia sharpens knives, practices cooking, and watches western movies.

9:00 pm: The Princesses prepare for bed. Their attendants come to their side one last time to take any final orders for the night or requests for the following morning, before bidding them goodnight. Atlanta asks for little to nothing from Orion, while Irene has Serena read her a bedtime story.

10:00 pm: Serena, Orion, and Caenia usually go to bed at this time. Orion is always in bed at 10:00 on the dot, while Serena and Caenia are a little more flexible (Serena often goes to sleep earlier while Caenia goes a little later).

*Caenia and the Second Princess’s schedule has been largely omitted as nobody really knows what they do.

“No, we haven’t found them all yet,” she shook her head. “We only have two for certain and maybe two more we’re confident in. As for the rest, it is far too soon to say for sure.”

After so many years, not even half have revealed themselves? I’d never imagined Hade’s prophecy to be so inaccurate.”

“Well, it was always a little vague on the details, and we were never sure what scale of time it was meant to be judged by,” she admitted. “However, I’m starting to think they’re already here, hiding in plain sight, and we’ve yet to see them.”

            Has someone caught your eye?

“A few people, they’re young now, but so was my sister when she…anyway, I have nothing but a hunch now, but I’ll watch their progress closely,” she replied.

You must have more than a hunch to be so invested in them already.”

“Well, I thought about it for a while, and remember towards the middle? How’d it go again? ‘…Fifteen points of light stand opposite the thirteen pillars…?’ Or something like that?” She recalled. “I think those fifteen points are starting to gather on their own.”

            It’s her, isn’t it?”

“Am I really so obvious?” She chuckled. “But not just her, it’s a few of them. If I’m right, they just might…no, I shouldn’t get my hopes up. I’m pining my hopes on her because I wish for it all to mean something…”

We’ll see, but if you think it’s meant to be, then I’m confident it shall.

“One can only hope,” she nodded.

I've been meaning to do another one of these for a while so here we are. My next goal should probably be to post an actual in-universe calendar since I place so much emphasis on dates.

Until next time, Read, Comment, Enjoy and Happy New Year!.
