...Just don’t lose sight of
yourself, Opus is not the kind of place where you can let such a thing happen.
Not every story this world tells ends with the creation of a masterpiece, not
everyone finds their way, and some are lost forever. Is it so much to ask that you
keep yourself focused on what matters? Perhaps it is best explained in detail.
Art is magic in Opus, and misuse of
magic is the quickest way to discover a new realm of suffering. If you need an
example just check the lost persons list in Opus. It is filled with hundreds of
prospective artists who could never find their way and became prisoners of
their own art. Be careful when you purchase their artwork as well. You never
know what specters might linger, still attached to their failed creations.
In fact, that is true of any artist
creation in Opus, if a painting’s eyes follow you throughout the room, do not
turn your back to it. You should also be wary of any sculpture you pass, not
just the lifelike, but especially the abstract. One careless move, one moment
of vulnerability, and suddenly you’ll be in a world of pain, or worse.
However, what you should be the most
concerned about are the unfinished works. Not merely the incomplete paintings
and sculptures, but even the works that never left the creator’s mind. Such
formless existences are best left alone. Do not let your eyes linger upon them
if you encounter them, such sights tend to wear at the mind.
Lastly, if you were to find yourself
out late at night on a street in Opus, do not follow any melodies or songs you
hear in the distance. It may be difficult to resist the almost hypnotic allure
of an Opus musician, but you’ll thank yourself later. You never know what
fiendish creatures may be luring you into their traps. I guarantee if you fall
in one you’ll never escape, I’m afraid once you’ve gone that far you won’t want
to escape.
Does this provoke fear in you? Do
you no longer wish to visit this beautiful world? Do you think it’s worth the
risk? Decide for yourself. Opus is not a world for the faint of heart or mind,
they rarely last long. If you do decide to come will you find your creative
spark or will you become lost in this world, why don’t you come and find out?

Art, whether it is the finished product or the process behind it, is wonderful. However, the world around art can be something else entirely. Something dark, something terrifying, something you don't want to be a part of, but do you really halve a choice?Until next time, Read, Comment and Enjoy
