“How did you get that on the ceiling?” Serena exclaimed while Irene looked down at the floor and whistled. The young princess had certainly been busy.
“Dunno,” Irene answered.
“Princess, forgive me if that sounds unlikely. I’m fairly certain it can’t stick to the ceiling under normal circumstances,” Serena pointed out.
“Maybe, you never tried hard enough,” was Irene’s justification.
“Princess, you’re not in trouble. I just want to know how you did it,” Serena assured.
“It was a juggling monkey,” Irene stated.
“Oh no, we’re not doing that again[1],” Serena cut her off. She wasn’t about to relive any part of that agonizing day.
“It’s a magic trick,” Irene revealed.
“Right, a very fascinating trick,” Serena sighed. “Would you mind sharing how?”
“Um, a good magician never reveals her secrets,” Irene replied.
“Okay,” Serena gave up, “Now would you happen to know how to get it down without breaking it?”
“Hmm,” Irene hummed, “nope.”
“Fine, I’ll get the cherry picker,” Serena shook her head, “again.”
“Can I get on the cherry picker?” Irene asked with her big innocent eyes.
“Only if you promise to get it down,” Serena wagged her finger as Irene followed her out of the room.
